Rowan Pride Icon

Medium/Style: digital, 2D, shaded cartoon pixel art with lineart

Notes: this was around the point where I realized that I just didn't have enough characters designed to do a pride icon for every single day of pride month. with Rowan, there's a particular problem that got in the way--they come from a world where there isn't really a concept of binary gender, and everyone is raised genderless until they choose different labels for themselves... so, does that make them cis? no, because being cisgender isn't really a thing, either.

I ended up deciding to just apply what terms we'd use to refer to someone like Rowan if they existed here in the real world. it's not super accurate, but I had to pick something if I wanted to draw them.
