Comments: right before Michael would've died in the abandoned webcomic I originally made him for, he gave Danny (the boyfriend he had dumped a few hours before) a call on a payphone to apologize for being such a dick and tell him to forget about him. in media, suicide often comes with a note, but in real life most people leave nothing behind. Michael's last call isn't really a formal goodbye, more an abrupt way to get rid of some lingering regret before disappearing, which feels a little more true to life.
