Comments: I recycle characters constantly and the needlessly dark story Michael originally came from was created around when I felt like you either die because you can't handle your trauma or you just accept that it happened and can't do anything about it. the idea that trauma sticks with you forever as this unchanging damage is the prevailing narrative in the parts of social media where trauma survivors hang out and it fucking sucks. the art I made about this version of Michael is still pretty cool, though.
